She was her mother’s first born; Lola Ayisha Ogbara born on January 28, 1991 to Tiffany Lewis and Ola Ogbara.
Lola Ogbara was born on the south side of Chicago until her family moved to the north side (Rogers Park). Her mother later moved her and her younger brother to Edwardsville, IL where Lola attended Edwardsville High School before later graduating early from Alton High School in Alton, IL. After high school Lola attended Columbia College of Chicago where she’s currently a full-time student majoring in Arts & Entertainment Media Management with a concentration in Visual Arts Management.
Lola was a very talented five year old. It was then at the age of five that she began to create very clear and vivid drawings. She would sit quietly with her crayons and color pencils and draw all day. Lola’s mother says, that she could recall when Lola’s art work at that young of an age would just amaze her, because Lola would create her work beyond her own imagination.
She became interested in photography at the age of nine. Her mother would buy the instant cameras at the local drugstore for her. It was from there that her love of photography combined with her inevitable art skills progressed. Through various educational classes and a sense of her own imagination, Lola continues to create her work in which she sees it, through her own eyes.
